CHASE SEXTON TAKES CHARGE IN DENVER, TIGHTENS 450SX TITLE RACE FOR RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING

A triumphant night in Denver saw Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Chase Sexton secure his sixth win of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship season, closing the gap in the 450SX standings to just nine points with one round remaining. Meanwhile, teammate Julien Beaumer delivered a determined ride to clinch second place in the 250SX West Main Event, marking a strong return to the podium.
Sexton was in dominant form from the outset, clocking the fastest qualifying time aboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION—over a full second quicker than the next competitor—demonstrating his immediate comfort on the Empower Field at Mile High track.
He followed up with a confident Heat Race win and carried that momentum into the Main Event. There, the reigning 2023 champion wasted no time asserting control, taking the lead early and building an unchallenged 10-second advantage by the checkered flag. The win at Round 16 was not only decisive—it was vital in the championship chase.
Chase Sexton:“I came out fired up after a close first rhythm section—it lit a fire in me. From that moment, I was focused on getting out front and laying down clean laps. I made a move on Cooper [Webb] that was aggressive by my standards, but we’re both fighting for this title. There’s mutual respect, but no room to back down."
In his first-ever outing in Denver, 450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger qualified fourth and claimed second in his Heat Race. Despite tough track conditions, “The Cowboy” maintained a consistent P5 throughout the Main Event, notching another valuable top-five result.

Aaron Plessinger:“This was a challenging one. I’m more comfortable on softer dirt, and tonight pushed me. Still, we brought it home in the top five, and that’s something to build on heading into Salt Lake. We’ve fought hard all year and turned things around as a team.”
Julien Beaumer came into Denver determined to rebound after a difficult stretch. Riding the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, he set the pace in combined qualifying. A crash in his Heat saw him charge from 16th to 6th, showing early signs of the grit that would define his Main Event ride.
Despite a mid-pack start, Beaumer surged forward with relentless pace and determination, slicing through the field to secure a well-deserved second-place finish. He now sits third overall in the 250SX West standings with one round to go.
Julien Beaumer:“I had something to prove tonight. The past few weeks haven’t gone my way, and I had to dig deep. Philly was a wake-up call—I had to take a hard look at myself and make changes. Tonight was the result of that effort.”
